Feeling Beautiful

I've felt extremely beautiful this last week I did my makeup three times. This was a look I did on Sunday. I wore my Heroine by Urban Decay lipstick that day covered with my Focallure lip gloss. Was feeling a little depressed since I had to see my sister in the hospital and she's in critical condition. It's always hard for me to see her unwell. I used my Lancome Auda[city] In Paris eye shadow palette and of course my thick eyeliner for the whole waterline. I put on a little blush as well. I will say, that lipstick looks bomb on me hehe!

This was a look I did on Tuesday. Unfortunately, yesterday I went a little too heavy on the eyeliner. OOPS! good thing I wore my glasses yesterday so it wouldn't be too noticeable. I didn't want to risk removing my foundation to reapply the eyeliner. I wore my Revlon Rockstar Nudes eye shadow palette both Tuesday and today. It's an awesome and well pigmented palette and I love it!

I think today I did a great job on my makeup. I tried to go a little more natural. and used my Rockstar Nudes palette again. mainly the light shimmery colors to go with the shirt. The eyeliner turned out a bit better today too I wasn't in as big of a rush to get it done. I love the color of the lipstick but the problem is, it's too sticky and puts on kind of clumpy so you have to smear it evenly. The lipstick is the Wild and Crazy by Mirage Cosmetics. Not quite sure where I had gotten it. I stuck to the normal makeup. Lancome, and Mac. I also sprayed on a little Killer Queen by Katy Perry perfume.

I love this perfume. I had gotten it from a job coach when I was a client where I now am employed. It's a pretty good size considering I don't wear perfume too often. might start investing in more. I have two in my collection Outspoken Intense by Fergie which I had bought from an Avon rep in Arizona. I felt bad that all her income came from Avon sales and purchased it out of good will to help her out since she was letting my ex and I live there for minimal rent.

It's good to change up your makeup style. It really shows off your skills and expresses your sense of style. I go from bold and gothic to natural beauty in only a 24 hour time span.

Phone Mirror Rescue

Who else finds Selfie Mode on their cellphone a God send? I don't have a mirror in my travel makeup bag so I improvised. My phone has an amazing camera being an LG V20 in all which has one of the best cameras on the market for cellphones. I was able to level out my Foundation and apply eye shadow and eye liner with minimal difficulty. These following pictures were deliberately taken.

I didn't get a chance to do my makeup at home so I applied it while sitting at my work desk. I will admit that it's a risky thing to do but hell, why not right? I'm just glad I always keep some makeup in my purse just in case!

The look I used was the Lancome Ada[city] In Paris palette with the light shimmery nude and the glittery gunmetal colors from the palette that my mom had bought me at Macy's, ELF Cosmetics turquoise eyeliner from elfcosmetics.com, MAC cosmetics Pinekswoon blush which my mom gave to me because she got it accidentally when she ordered a shower curtain, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra shaded Foundation also from Macy's  and Revlon Black Cherry lipstick which is very well pigmented and a purchase from the local CVS.

I'm by no means a pro but makeup makes me feel pretty and is a form of self-expression. Be bold and daring or be subtle and natural, it doesn't matter the route you go as long as it makes you feel good on the inside and beautiful on the outside. We're all beautiful in our own way on the outside even without makeup but it doesn't hurt that we think so also regardless of our makeup preference!

Change Up

This was my look yesterday. Decided to give the Gothic looks a little break and went a little lighter. I still did a half liner with my thick black liner to accentuate my eyes and used a brownish lip color. I used light tans and dark brown for my eye shadow and kept it relatively light and semi-natural. I think it went really well together. I was extremely happy with how simple it looked regarding the bad day I was having. It always cheers me up a little to play with my makeup.

Today I used many colors from a reddish lip to turquoise eye liner. I used pink and dark purple as my eye shadow choice by Wet N' Wild., My eyeliner was from E.L.F Cosmetics, I used a little M.A.C blush on my cheeks, nose, and forehead, I used Lancome foundation on my face before applying the rest. My lipstick was from Revlon which I had purchased the other day at CVS, It turned out well overall except I messed up a little on my lips.

It works on me to take a dark or light route. I've gotten many compliments on my dark makeup choices as well as my more professional yet colorful choices. My favorite eye look would have to be a range of purples with the turquoise liner blended in. It looks great. My favorite Lipstick would most likely be my Urban Decay lipsticks due to their amazing pigments. I also like my Lancome eye shadow palette but i'm excited to get a chance to play with my Jaclyn Hill palette when it arrives.

I also enjoy my purple shadow with my blue lipstick and accompanying gloss as shown in the slideshow on my about me page. I'd say that's my all time favorite look! I need to remake that look sometime I think. I wonder how well it will go with my now black hair!

Gothic Days

8/5/17

When i'm in a bad mood I tend to go for dark Gothic/Emo looks. On the 5th I used blue lipstick and a natural eye minus the black eye shadow. I lined my eyes with a thick eyeliner to complete the look. It came out whether well I think.

Today I was upset so I went on a mini makeup shopping spree at CVS. I bought Revlon and Maybelline lipsticks and a Maybelline Rockstar Nudes eye shadow pallet. I even bought some hair things. Pictured below was the headband I purchased.

Today I used primarily my new cosmetic haul to do my look. My Lancome foundation and a Cover Girl eyeliner which are both older in age. I used my Revlon black and gunmetal lipsticks on my mouth. I based my lips with the bold black and then highlighted them with the Gunmetal metallic matte lipstick. I guess you wouldn't really notice from the picture. I used white, black, and some glittery silver shadow on my eyes.

I wouldn't call today a particularly good day by any means.

Jaclyn Hill Morph Palette

Online I ordered the Jaclyn Hill Morph Palette. I ordered it from eBay and i'm not sure if it's legit. As long as the pigments are strong i'll have no problem with it. I love the colors and I paid about half of the worth of $99. I think the purple and teal colors will be my favorites for sure since they'e in fact my two favorite colors. I'm extremely looking forward to playing with this when it arrives! From the picture, do you think it could be the real deal? In all honestly i'm in doubt, paying about $49 for this palette is pretty good of a deal since I've seen them marked for $99.00 on other sites. Can't pass up a big palette for cheap can you? I'm not much into trends but a friend showed me this last month and I fell in love! I joked that she should get it for me for my birthday. They had already sold out by then but I came into some money and figured, why not? The names are pretty cute too!

from left to right
Row 1: Enlight, Beam, Silk Creme, M.F.E.O, Faint, Sissy, Little Lady
Row 2: Creamsicle, Butter, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Firework, Queen
Row 3: Obsessed, S.B.N, Hillster, Roxanne, Jacz, Buns, Cranapple
Row 4: Royalty, Twerk, Hustle, Meeks, 24/7, Chip, Mocha
Row 5: Pool Party, Jada, Diva, Enchanted, Central Park, Soda Pop, Abyss

Some of those are actually kind of odd named to be honest but the colors are gorgeous! I'm so excited to be getting this whether it's an official brand or not. These will be so fun to play around with and mix up to apply to your eyes. I'm itching for them to arrive already. If it's the actual Jaclyn Hill palette i'll be even more thrilled. I trust my friend's tastes in makeup with her being a cosmetology makeup artist and all. Besides, she's brilliant with her makeup use so maybe I can get some tips from her on being more extravagant in my finished looks.

Cosmetic Changes

The other day I was feeling very gloomy. My mom got mad at me because I missed a cabinet in the bathroom while I was cleaning up after dying my hair black. I guess the hair ended up matching my mood that day too! So I decided to go for a gothic/emo look that day. How'd I do? I used my Lancome Foundation to minimize my blemishes. I used my Heroine Urban Decay matte Lipstick as well as a lip gloss that I had gotten from there to make my lips a metallic color. I used my Lancome eye shadow palette with mainly tan and black colors for a dark eye look and I underlined my eyes with a thick black liner. I loved how it turned out. The lipstick went really well with my black hair. I dressed up in all black that day as well!

These black pleather leggings look pretty good on me. They extenuate my thick thighs and hug all the right curves on my body which I bought at a Target location. They are extremely slimming as well.. I also love my top with the cold shoulder aspect which I had ordered from 599fashion.com. I had to walk to and from the bank that day which was a mile each way. The boots I wore definitely weren't meant for walking, but I did it!

Today i'm going to get braces which is another cosmetic event. I'm very excited to be getting a perfect smile and i'm sure I will just love the finished results! I am getting both braces and I hope I can get purple and teal bands. I am also getting a Motion Carrier which corrects overbites. I'd say i'm getting them both at a great price even though I will be making monthly payments for about 2 1/2 years. It'll start as of today at 4 P.M. I'm going straight to the dentist after work! Wish me luck and I hope they don't look too tacky!

Makeup Mess

I tried the Winged liner look again yesterday and made a total mess of it. I cannot draw worth a damn so painting a face like my own is not easy. The eyeliner itself is a rather thick pencil. They came out uneven and were like blobs of messy under my eyes. I'm too embarrassed to show a picture of how it turned out. I know practice makes perfect but apparently not for me.

I did however do a good job covering my facial acne with my foundation from Lancome and I always love my blue "Heroine" lipstick along with the accommodating lip gloss I had gotten from Urban Decay Cosmetics a while back. I think it really brings out my fair skin tone. I also used a thick pencil eye shadow I had gotten from my former boss two Christmases ago. The pigment is very light and almost invisible which is a shame because it looks like a purple/blue chameleon color on the stick. It would look amazing if it were better pigmented.

I wore this look for a little appointment at the local Library. I suppose i'm utmost daring and out-of-the-box in a way. Of course I don't wear this look to work but hey, it was the 3 day weekend for me Sat-Mon. I think it went well with my fashion choice that day also. I wore my Disney Lady Villains leggings that feature Cruella from 101 Dalmatians, Evil Queen from Snow White in both of her forms, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. I wore denim shorts over them and a black tank top. I  also wore a blue headband and beautiful grunge silver circle earrings. As well as my favorite pair of glasses that ever existed. They're black in front and purple with black swirls on the sides clasped with cool silver colored caps at the edges.

It all seemed together well in my opinion. I suppose I have a retro sense of style. I love my leggings under short shorts. It's my way out of having to shave my legs as well as not exposing too much and leaving something to the imagination HAHA! Yesterday was a pretty good day despite some arguments with my mother.
