Makeup Slack

Makeup Slack

Lately i've been kind of slacking with my makeup application. I guess I just haven't been in the mood to wear makeup lately. I did however get a couple looks out. Not all that difficult to do or even that special but it's what I blog about right?

First day was December 3rd. I was in a pretty depressed mood so as usual I go for a darker/gothic look that day. Not to mention my choice of outfit. This day I wore Jaclyn Hill eyeshadow, Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner which is oh-mer-gawd smooth. It glides on so easily! It's too bad it's only a trial size. I wore a dark plum lipstick but I don't quite remember the brand. I think it was Wet N' Wild but I don't guarantee that.

This look is from yesterday. I wore teal with hints of purple that day so went for a purple/teal look. I used teal and purple from my Jaclyn Hill palette. This lipstick I had gotten from Amazon.com and don't remember the shade but it's from the LA Matte liquid lipstick collection. It was very cheap on Amazon and it's worth the price. It dries and becomes relatively sticky after you apply it. It also tends to get somewhat flakey. The color is beautiful though. I didn't wear any eyeliner but I always wear my Lancome Foundation.

Hopefully i'll get back into applying makeup again soon. I really love how I feel wearing it.

Pretty Me

I haven't been using makeup as often because I bought that huge case and can't seem to bother with it's bulkiness when putting it on the sink surface to go through and decide what I want to use that day. I did however manage to do a couple looks. My favorite is the second image. For the first look i've used Urban Decay Disturbed lipstick from the VICE collection. My thick black eyeliner, Maybeline Rocknudes palette and of course my favorite foundation.

This look is my favorite of all the looks I've ever done. It's a mix of my two favorite colors, Purple and Teal which I blended for my eyes. I think it went really well with the Focallure Metallic liquid lipstick I used. I also applied E.L.F teal eyeliner to really pull the look together. I had gotten a few compliments on this look. Lastly I used a little MAC blush on my cheeks and naturally started the application with my Lancome foundation that I just love!

The only problem with Fallcallure lipsticks is that it tends to dry out your lips and it gets kind of crusty when it dries itself. It does stay on pretty well though so as long as you put on a base that protects your lips from drying, you should be good to go! I'll try to get some more looks done soon.

Makeup Collection

As you see I finally got a Jaclyn Hill eye shadow palette which I had to order from a different seller. Luckily I was able to request a claim with eBay about the scam and eBay refunded me the money plus the shipping I had spent on it. The whole ordeal made me love eBay much more than I did thanks to their quick problem resolution tactics.

I also "accidentally" ordered myself a huge aluminum Makeup case. I was tired of keeping my makeup in 3 different makeup bags so I just bought a huge one for my never ending collection. I was able to organize all my products equally into my case. I was rather pleased with how it all fit. I wonder if my nail polish products and other perfume might fit in there!

Another thing that happened was I had gotten charged with a credit from Sephora for $10.80 for their little box thing with samples in it. It had gotten refunded but I didn't like any of it anyway. I however rather enjoyed my Ipsy that I did remember ordering. I thought it was a very cute Halloween collection. It too had only sample sized products which is honestly a bit of a bummer but what can you do? Eventually I may try BirchBox. I heard they give out full sized products in their monthly subscriptions.

Well anyway, I hope that's all the beauty related surprises I have for the week. CHEERS!

Makeup Scam

A while ago I ordered the Jaclyn Hill Morph Palette from eBay.com. They said it would be delivered yesterday but not only did nothing ever come but the seller also deleted their eBay account which makes me think they were just trying to run away with my money. I'm aggravated and opened a request for a refund from eBay since I was included in what seems to be a hit and run scam attempt. I reordered it for $14.85 from a different seller and it should be here on the 18th of the month. That's a week from now. I'm eager to get this scam resolved but they're making me wait until the 17th for them to do anything about it. The seller has until the 16th to respond to my request but seeing as they deleted their account, that's not going to happen. I really hope eBay will take the hit and reimburse me for the trouble.

I'm hoping this second attempt isn't a scam because i'm looking forward to playing with the new palette. I suppose i'll find out. I was a little distrustful when I saw that the user had Chinese characters as a name when it said it was coming from California but unfortunately they don't show that until after the purchase is made. Now I'm going to have to wait for what seems like forever. Fingers crossed for me.

Freckle Invasion

Now if you don't mind my uni-brow. I have been overrun by freckles! What is the thing about freckles anyway? Some find them cute while others find them to be a menace. Before this summer I thought my freckles were pretty cute but that's because I didn't have a ton of blotchy ones.. Now, I find them to be invading my poor face. It's a gene I had gotten from mother dearest (my birth mother) She is always working outside and is covered forehead to toes in freckles due to the sun. Now I don't go out in the sun all that often but the freckles keep on comin' anyway. It's another reason why I love foundation so much, it makes my skin flawless and keeps the freckles in check.

Why must I be cursed with this trait? I have average dry skin which is already a pain in the butt and my pores are a tad bigger than normal making it easy for acne and blackheads to take over. I think the only freckles I really don't mind are the ones on my nose and maybe a few on my cheekbones.

My Lancome foundation covers a lot of them while letting a few show through which is how I like it! unfortunately I have to wait a couple days for my foundation to come in the mail. That's the one thing that sucks about ordering online, the wait time. the pro is that it's a tad cheaper and usually free shipping. I bought the new one on Overstock for $46 bucks and some change with free shipping when it was $47 plus $7 shipping on the official site. I can only imagine how much it would've been in-store.

But anyway, back to freckles. Do you like or despise yours? What is the good thing about having freckles? I guess that's the reason concealer and foundation were invented. Thank god for those two products.

Foundation Devastation

My all time favorite foundation is the Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 hour foundation in the shade 110 Iviore C. I found out the other day that it was damn near empty. I have had it for over 3 years because at first I used it very seldom and didn't use it regularly until the last few months. I was going to go to Macy's to buy more since that was where it was first purchased. I looked online and it was retailed at $54.00 without tax included. I have a limited amount to spend on my foundation as well as wanting to buy new nail polish later as well.

As you could guess I was devastated. I had that foundation for a long time and loved the color and that there were no touch-ups needed with it throughout the day. I was bummed but today I did another search. I looked on Overstock and found it for $46.49e. No tax and free shipping since the item was over $45.00. You can picture me doing my happy dance now. Sure I won't get it the same day but I saved some money and can deal. I suppose I can try to milk my current bottle until it's very last drop until I receive my new bottle in the mail.

What is your favorite foundation? This one is amazing. It doesn't have any harmful chemicals and was tested on sensitive skin, It was advised by Dermatologists and it was also not tested on animals which is always a good thing too so you know it's healthy for your skin. Another good thing is it's also a sunscreen at  SPF 15 which is decent if you're in the sun a good amount. It's Matte but doesn't leave a sticky or powdery finish.

I just have to say, this definitely beats Cover Girl's cream foundation that you get in the oval blue case at drugstores. I used to use that but then my skin got darker and I needed something else. It always looked kind of caked on when I wore it also. You can also try it before you buy it if you go to a Lancome retailer such as Macy's or Sephora. Thanks to the makeover at Macy's years ago, I got to discover what the perfect shade for my skin tone was. It's only a tiny bit darker than my skin but blends very well.

Two Day Makeup Frenzy

I have been applying makeup every day for the last week. I can't get over how beautiful I look with it on! It really seems to boost my self image and makes me feel amazing. I'm being told by friends that i'm getting better at makeup applications in beauty and makeup Facebook groups. I really love today's look. I did what apparently is called a "Hooded eye" look with my eye shadow. I have no idea what that means (go figure) but i'm going to assume it's when you apply eye shadow up to your eyebrow.

I was told once in a group not to do that unless it's with a very light natural color. I used a mix between a light cream and black to do mine which came out kind of gray. I applied a little brown to the eyelid but it isn't very noticeable. I (as usual) used my Rock Nudes palette for my eyes. I used my thick eyeliner which I discovered is named Master Kajal by Maybeline. I also used a brow pencil I had ordered from the Wish app a while back to make my eyebrows darker since I now have black hair, and it makes them look fuller as well. The product is Dream Goddess unfortunately the host brand name has worn off the stick so I can't divulge that information. I used Loreal's Color Riche He Thinks He's Matte-Cho lipstick which is a brownish color since my shirt choice today is black and tan. Of course I used my typical Lancome foundation to apply first.

This look came out really great I think!

This is yesterday's look which I applied while I was at work hence the security badge. I had used the Revlon palette of purples my former boss bought me a while back and kept it pretty simple with a nude lipstick and minimal eyeliner. It was a more subtle look for my usual tastes but I didn't feel like being too bold then like I was today. irregardless it came out well too. Sometimes you just need a change of scenery don't you think? Now only to see what tomorrow brings! I love to play with all my makeup.

Nail Polish Mayhem

Raise your hand if you like to get your nails done! I can't afford to get them done professionally so I do them myself. It's always nice to express your moods and play with your nail polish. I tend to do a ton of things with my nails between a basic polish, or doing a little experimenting with the colors I have.

In the first picture I was feeling a tiny flirty and a little girly so I used pink. What's funny is while I was painting them, Aerosmith's song "Pink" started playing and I couldn't help but laugh at the coincidence. The pink was done June 3rd, 2017. The next picture I was watching a Disney movie and felt like doing somewhat of a Disney theme on 09/03/17. Yes I know I fucked up pretty bad but like I always say, "i'm nowhere near a pro" so if you guessed Monsters Inc's Sulley, you'd be right! The third picture was what I did yesterday 9/4/17. I used a Wet N' Wild purple color along with a clear coat that had big sparkles mixed in.

I think it came out very well considering i'm not very good on the nail art spectrum. The last picture was from August 22nd. I always liked that dark aqua marine color and once used it with a dark purple for a Marde Gras type of theme. I really need to invest in more colors. I rarely have the money but one day i'm going to save up and have a spending spree at the local drug store for some fun new colors of nail polish and a ton of makeup as well.

How do you experiment with your nails? I bet it's not really that hard to be better than me. I'm pretty low on the scale honestly. I think my five year old son even has one up on me sad to say. Alas, it's still fun to play with nail polish as it is to play with other makeup as well. As I said, it's a very good way to express your fashion or you're mood. paint them once a week or every day, just have fun with it and go with the flow. the sky is the limit!

Goth Craze

I don't know why I can rock Gothic looks so well. Maybe it's my black hair or maybe my fair skin. Possibly a combination of the both. Today I decided to do my makeup and of course, chose a Gothic look. I don't know, I just think I wear them so well!

I started with my Lancome foundation, then applied my Maybeline Rock Nudes palette to my eyes. I used the silver and the glittery black colors from it. I absolutely love how pigmented that palette is! I followed by my Charcoal Revlon Color Stay eyeliner. For my lips I used Maybeline's Pitch Black lipstick. took a few layers to get the pigment I wanted therefor unfortunately getting excess lipstick on my teeth. I didn't use my blush today because I wanted minimal color to my face. Wanted to keep it fair with blackish color accents.

I haven't gotten dressed yet but you could probably guess what's on my wardrobe list today. If you guessed black, you are correct! I plan on wearing my cold shoulder short sleeved black top and my shiney pleather leggings. I always look good in that outfit.

The thing that sucks is i'm a glasses wearer. It takes away from my makeup look I think and I don't have the money for contacts as well as no clue how to comfortably apply them anyway. It's a real pain in the ass if you ask me. The nice thing are that my glasses are black with purple black swirled sides and silver corners.

I just realized it's labor day and maybe a Gothic look isn't too appropriate for the day. Makeup and outfit plan subject to change as today drags forward.

Nail Polish Boredom

So yesterday I was pretty bored with really nothing to do. I decided to watch movies and paint my nails. I was watching a Disney movie at the time and decided to Disney theme for my fingers. Can you guess what it was? If you guessed Sulley from Monsters Inc. you would be right! I always loved Sulley to the point that's my given nickname. I butchered them a little since i'm nowhere near a nail specialist. It was worse before I redid a couple of them.

The nail polish I used was Wet N' Wild. I love their polish because it dries quickly and stays on very well. It also comes off relatively easy with nail polish remover. It lasts about a week with no chipping no matter how I use my hands. On weekends I find myself very productive so I need a polish that will stick so this is my go-to. Despite the lack of professional touches, I was rather happy with the outcome. I think they're rather cute in my opinion anyway.

When I want to be productive but can't find anything to do, I resort to painting my nails. I luckily just bought nail polish remover so my nails appearance changes rather frequently. I can honestly say though, experimenting with your nail polishes is rather fun. You can come up with all sorts of designs. For this I alternated between a blueish and light purple color followed by opposite color dots as shown in the picture above.

I find that nail polish can greatly express your current mood. I have a ton of colors from black to blue, teal, purples, even pinks as surprising as that may sound for someone like myself.

It's very fun to paint other people's nails too. It's a bit of a bonding experience and I will admit I occasionally share that bonding with my 5 year old son. He loves getting his nails painted and will sometimes paint mine. He always seems to go for the pink and I don't say he can't have pink nails. I've never been the gender specific type. I just make sure his fingers aren't painted when he's at school but since toes are usually covered by socks, It's a free for all with me.

Feeling Beautiful

I've felt extremely beautiful this last week I did my makeup three times. This was a look I did on Sunday. I wore my Heroine by Urban Decay lipstick that day covered with my Focallure lip gloss. Was feeling a little depressed since I had to see my sister in the hospital and she's in critical condition. It's always hard for me to see her unwell. I used my Lancome Auda[city] In Paris eye shadow palette and of course my thick eyeliner for the whole waterline. I put on a little blush as well. I will say, that lipstick looks bomb on me hehe!

This was a look I did on Tuesday. Unfortunately, yesterday I went a little too heavy on the eyeliner. OOPS! good thing I wore my glasses yesterday so it wouldn't be too noticeable. I didn't want to risk removing my foundation to reapply the eyeliner. I wore my Revlon Rockstar Nudes eye shadow palette both Tuesday and today. It's an awesome and well pigmented palette and I love it!

I think today I did a great job on my makeup. I tried to go a little more natural. and used my Rockstar Nudes palette again. mainly the light shimmery colors to go with the shirt. The eyeliner turned out a bit better today too I wasn't in as big of a rush to get it done. I love the color of the lipstick but the problem is, it's too sticky and puts on kind of clumpy so you have to smear it evenly. The lipstick is the Wild and Crazy by Mirage Cosmetics. Not quite sure where I had gotten it. I stuck to the normal makeup. Lancome, and Mac. I also sprayed on a little Killer Queen by Katy Perry perfume.

I love this perfume. I had gotten it from a job coach when I was a client where I now am employed. It's a pretty good size considering I don't wear perfume too often. might start investing in more. I have two in my collection Outspoken Intense by Fergie which I had bought from an Avon rep in Arizona. I felt bad that all her income came from Avon sales and purchased it out of good will to help her out since she was letting my ex and I live there for minimal rent.

It's good to change up your makeup style. It really shows off your skills and expresses your sense of style. I go from bold and gothic to natural beauty in only a 24 hour time span.

Phone Mirror Rescue

Who else finds Selfie Mode on their cellphone a God send? I don't have a mirror in my travel makeup bag so I improvised. My phone has an amazing camera being an LG V20 in all which has one of the best cameras on the market for cellphones. I was able to level out my Foundation and apply eye shadow and eye liner with minimal difficulty. These following pictures were deliberately taken.

I didn't get a chance to do my makeup at home so I applied it while sitting at my work desk. I will admit that it's a risky thing to do but hell, why not right? I'm just glad I always keep some makeup in my purse just in case!

The look I used was the Lancome Ada[city] In Paris palette with the light shimmery nude and the glittery gunmetal colors from the palette that my mom had bought me at Macy's, ELF Cosmetics turquoise eyeliner from elfcosmetics.com, MAC cosmetics Pinekswoon blush which my mom gave to me because she got it accidentally when she ordered a shower curtain, Lancome Teint Idole Ultra shaded Foundation also from Macy's  and Revlon Black Cherry lipstick which is very well pigmented and a purchase from the local CVS.

I'm by no means a pro but makeup makes me feel pretty and is a form of self-expression. Be bold and daring or be subtle and natural, it doesn't matter the route you go as long as it makes you feel good on the inside and beautiful on the outside. We're all beautiful in our own way on the outside even without makeup but it doesn't hurt that we think so also regardless of our makeup preference!

Change Up

This was my look yesterday. Decided to give the Gothic looks a little break and went a little lighter. I still did a half liner with my thick black liner to accentuate my eyes and used a brownish lip color. I used light tans and dark brown for my eye shadow and kept it relatively light and semi-natural. I think it went really well together. I was extremely happy with how simple it looked regarding the bad day I was having. It always cheers me up a little to play with my makeup.

Today I used many colors from a reddish lip to turquoise eye liner. I used pink and dark purple as my eye shadow choice by Wet N' Wild., My eyeliner was from E.L.F Cosmetics, I used a little M.A.C blush on my cheeks, nose, and forehead, I used Lancome foundation on my face before applying the rest. My lipstick was from Revlon which I had purchased the other day at CVS, It turned out well overall except I messed up a little on my lips.

It works on me to take a dark or light route. I've gotten many compliments on my dark makeup choices as well as my more professional yet colorful choices. My favorite eye look would have to be a range of purples with the turquoise liner blended in. It looks great. My favorite Lipstick would most likely be my Urban Decay lipsticks due to their amazing pigments. I also like my Lancome eye shadow palette but i'm excited to get a chance to play with my Jaclyn Hill palette when it arrives.

I also enjoy my purple shadow with my blue lipstick and accompanying gloss as shown in the slideshow on my about me page. I'd say that's my all time favorite look! I need to remake that look sometime I think. I wonder how well it will go with my now black hair!

Gothic Days

8/5/17

When i'm in a bad mood I tend to go for dark Gothic/Emo looks. On the 5th I used blue lipstick and a natural eye minus the black eye shadow. I lined my eyes with a thick eyeliner to complete the look. It came out whether well I think.

Today I was upset so I went on a mini makeup shopping spree at CVS. I bought Revlon and Maybelline lipsticks and a Maybelline Rockstar Nudes eye shadow pallet. I even bought some hair things. Pictured below was the headband I purchased.

Today I used primarily my new cosmetic haul to do my look. My Lancome foundation and a Cover Girl eyeliner which are both older in age. I used my Revlon black and gunmetal lipsticks on my mouth. I based my lips with the bold black and then highlighted them with the Gunmetal metallic matte lipstick. I guess you wouldn't really notice from the picture. I used white, black, and some glittery silver shadow on my eyes.

I wouldn't call today a particularly good day by any means.

Jaclyn Hill Morph Palette

Online I ordered the Jaclyn Hill Morph Palette. I ordered it from eBay and i'm not sure if it's legit. As long as the pigments are strong i'll have no problem with it. I love the colors and I paid about half of the worth of $99. I think the purple and teal colors will be my favorites for sure since they'e in fact my two favorite colors. I'm extremely looking forward to playing with this when it arrives! From the picture, do you think it could be the real deal? In all honestly i'm in doubt, paying about $49 for this palette is pretty good of a deal since I've seen them marked for $99.00 on other sites. Can't pass up a big palette for cheap can you? I'm not much into trends but a friend showed me this last month and I fell in love! I joked that she should get it for me for my birthday. They had already sold out by then but I came into some money and figured, why not? The names are pretty cute too!

from left to right
Row 1: Enlight, Beam, Silk Creme, M.F.E.O, Faint, Sissy, Little Lady
Row 2: Creamsicle, Butter, Pooter, Pukey, Hunts, Firework, Queen
Row 3: Obsessed, S.B.N, Hillster, Roxanne, Jacz, Buns, Cranapple
Row 4: Royalty, Twerk, Hustle, Meeks, 24/7, Chip, Mocha
Row 5: Pool Party, Jada, Diva, Enchanted, Central Park, Soda Pop, Abyss

Some of those are actually kind of odd named to be honest but the colors are gorgeous! I'm so excited to be getting this whether it's an official brand or not. These will be so fun to play around with and mix up to apply to your eyes. I'm itching for them to arrive already. If it's the actual Jaclyn Hill palette i'll be even more thrilled. I trust my friend's tastes in makeup with her being a cosmetology makeup artist and all. Besides, she's brilliant with her makeup use so maybe I can get some tips from her on being more extravagant in my finished looks.

Cosmetic Changes

The other day I was feeling very gloomy. My mom got mad at me because I missed a cabinet in the bathroom while I was cleaning up after dying my hair black. I guess the hair ended up matching my mood that day too! So I decided to go for a gothic/emo look that day. How'd I do? I used my Lancome Foundation to minimize my blemishes. I used my Heroine Urban Decay matte Lipstick as well as a lip gloss that I had gotten from there to make my lips a metallic color. I used my Lancome eye shadow palette with mainly tan and black colors for a dark eye look and I underlined my eyes with a thick black liner. I loved how it turned out. The lipstick went really well with my black hair. I dressed up in all black that day as well!

These black pleather leggings look pretty good on me. They extenuate my thick thighs and hug all the right curves on my body which I bought at a Target location. They are extremely slimming as well.. I also love my top with the cold shoulder aspect which I had ordered from 599fashion.com. I had to walk to and from the bank that day which was a mile each way. The boots I wore definitely weren't meant for walking, but I did it!

Today i'm going to get braces which is another cosmetic event. I'm very excited to be getting a perfect smile and i'm sure I will just love the finished results! I am getting both braces and I hope I can get purple and teal bands. I am also getting a Motion Carrier which corrects overbites. I'd say i'm getting them both at a great price even though I will be making monthly payments for about 2 1/2 years. It'll start as of today at 4 P.M. I'm going straight to the dentist after work! Wish me luck and I hope they don't look too tacky!

Makeup Mess

I tried the Winged liner look again yesterday and made a total mess of it. I cannot draw worth a damn so painting a face like my own is not easy. The eyeliner itself is a rather thick pencil. They came out uneven and were like blobs of messy under my eyes. I'm too embarrassed to show a picture of how it turned out. I know practice makes perfect but apparently not for me.

I did however do a good job covering my facial acne with my foundation from Lancome and I always love my blue "Heroine" lipstick along with the accommodating lip gloss I had gotten from Urban Decay Cosmetics a while back. I think it really brings out my fair skin tone. I also used a thick pencil eye shadow I had gotten from my former boss two Christmases ago. The pigment is very light and almost invisible which is a shame because it looks like a purple/blue chameleon color on the stick. It would look amazing if it were better pigmented.

I wore this look for a little appointment at the local Library. I suppose i'm utmost daring and out-of-the-box in a way. Of course I don't wear this look to work but hey, it was the 3 day weekend for me Sat-Mon. I think it went well with my fashion choice that day also. I wore my Disney Lady Villains leggings that feature Cruella from 101 Dalmatians, Evil Queen from Snow White in both of her forms, Ursula from The Little Mermaid, and Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty. I wore denim shorts over them and a black tank top. I  also wore a blue headband and beautiful grunge silver circle earrings. As well as my favorite pair of glasses that ever existed. They're black in front and purple with black swirls on the sides clasped with cool silver colored caps at the edges.

It all seemed together well in my opinion. I suppose I have a retro sense of style. I love my leggings under short shorts. It's my way out of having to shave my legs as well as not exposing too much and leaving something to the imagination HAHA! Yesterday was a pretty good day despite some arguments with my mother.

Birthday

Birthday

Today has mainly been a pretty bad day. I was scammed and robbed of $160. It was my mistake though, i'm too trusting and didn't really even think twice when they claimed they were from Microsoft. To rub it in that they had robbed me blind they wished me a happy birthday. What a cruel bunch of fucks! I ended up having to report fraud on my debit card and get a new card issued out to me. I also had to reset my laptop since they had taken control of it and lost all my documents and programs. I saved my movies to my OneDrive but that didn't even stick so out those went. I also lost all my CC (Custom Content) and MODS for my favorite PC game of all time, The Sims.

At least today I looked pretty. I brought out all the older makeup my mom bought for me minus the lipstick i ended up using. It's all Lancome except for the eyeliner and Mascara. I attempted a cat-eye look today which at least came out a tad better than the last time i tried. I used a light shade of pink and a dark shade of purple for my eye shadow choices and outlined the edge with a little black. I lined my waterline with white again but the outer portion with my thick black eyeliner. My lip gloss that I used was also a Lancome product.
My mom bought me a new outfit to wear for my birthday which is, of course, the first present she wanted me to open this morning. Later on after my unfortunate happening, my mom let me open another which was a beautiful rose gold colored choker necklace. The problem with that was it didn't fit around my masculine sized neck in which case she went out and bought a chain extention. The last present is still wrapped but I knew right away it was a new purse in which case, I can't wait to see how it looks!

For breakfast my sister treated me with a huge Dutch Baby Pancake which I could only eat half of even though it wasn't as big as she normally makes them. My mother is making one of my favorite things of all time, Seafood Gumbo! Minus the fish of course. I hate regular fish but will eat the shit out of shrimp and crab as well as the vegan sausage she's gonna add. I love my mom! It's the perfect end to a rough day. As well as getting birthday wishes from 4 of my biological family members. An uncle from both sides, My birth father's sister, and my birth mother. It's nice to know she doesn't resent me enough to not at least say happy birthday to her eldest daughter.

Anyway, dinner will be ready soon and I can't wait to chow down and get stuffed off it's godly goodness. I wonder if anything will happen at work tomorrow. Alas today is today and tomorrow hasn't come into view as of yet. Have a good evening everyone!

Organizing

Organizing

I finally found the third Makeup bag I had lost a while ago. I knew generally where it was but not where my mother hid it. It was in the 1st floor bathroom at the bottom of a bin where I also found the eye shadow palette she had bought me, thank heavens! I had decided to organize all my makeup into these three bags. The left bag is two tiered so in that one I put my foundation, contouring supplies, perfume, and dark circle correcting serum in the bottom tier. The top tier I had placed all my lipsticks and lip glosses along with the eye shadow palette I ended up finding since that was the only place it would fit.

The second bag is mainly everything I plan to wear on any specific day so I can keep it in my purse for touch-ups throughout the day. The jeweled Case is where i'm keeping all my eye products. Eye shadows, eye liners, mascara, brow pencils, and eyebrow stencils. I have so much of all that crap! As you can see, that appears the most full. It's pretty much full to the brim. I think i'll have to invest in more makeup bags. Perhaps a big organizing case even.

I bought the two tiered one on the Wish app, The second one was given to me for Christmas by my former boss (I miss you Terry!), and the 3rd was a freebie when my mother took me to Macy's to their Lancome kiosk for a little makeup shopping spree for my birthday one year. They had a couple extras from their last promotion so they threw it in for me as well as an extra makeup brush they had for foundation but eventually the head popped off. The jeweled one was the last one they had too which was cool that they'd part with it. They were very kind there.

Makeup has been extremely fun to play with. I even have a ton of nail polish that's idling in my drawer out of sight from my son. I'm kind of afraid to organize them and put them out on display because my 5 year old son has gotten into the habit of playing with them trying to paint his own nails therefore the nail polish gets everywhere! It's already stained my bed sheets and a little had gotten onto my phone screen but luckily it's on my case's screen protector, nothing a little nail polish remover wouldn't fix.

I'm not even gonna lie, I enjoy doing manicures and pedicures with my little boy. I feel like it's teaching him to be good to women and pamper them. A skill he could take with him when he's older and starts having girlfriends or even a daughter of his own one day. He won't be repulsed by her wanting to paint his nails. That's just my thinking though, I could be wrong.

Makeup OK?

Makeup OK?

7/4/17

A few years ago my mother bought me makeup at the Lancome kiosk at Macy's for my 26th birthday. It was complete with Foundation, Lipstick, Eyeliner, an Eye shadow Palette, and facial cleanser system. Shit you not I still have it all lightly used. Since it costed my mom serious cash I really only save it for special occasions so I don't have to replace it. the foundation costed around $45 all by itself and I don't even want to get into what the nice palette costed. I had later searched Lancome online and discovered how much their items cost. I told my mom I really appreciated them more now that I saw what they ran for. I had really taken a liking to the makeup and enjoyed playing with it the first week I had it. It was good for a darker rocker like look. Here's a picture from it below.

As you can see I was feeling a bit flirty and more confident. I love how I looked wearing makeup and soon I was out buying all kinds of new goodies from other brands whether it were online or at the local CVS. Not as highly respected as Lancome but stuff that worked. I began playing with makeup more and wearing it more frequently unless I was feeling too depressed to even bother with it. One Christmas, my boss had remembered my favorite color was purple so she bought me a mini eye shadow palette, Eyeliner, Mascara, and a little portable makeup bag to keep it in. I have since grown to a two layer big makeup bag that would be impossible to keep in your purse. As well as a little one they gave me with my Lancome purchases. I use the little one she gave me to keep the makeup I was wearing for that day in my purse. Wish I could find the one with jewels on it to be honest.

Makeup Case Collection
I have worn makeup three times within the last 2 weeks. Which, is actually a rare event for me. Playing with the new cosmetics I had bought online from ELF Cosmetics as well as a Cover Girl lipstick I had gotten from Amazon. I'm sure when I can afford it my makeup will continue to increase over time filling these 3 cases completely. Sure I probably don't have as much as other people but, it's a damn good start! I don't think I could have tons of makeup or else i'd never know what to use that day. Alas, I love to play with my makeup and take suggestions from members of beauty groups on Facebook. One such suggestion was to wear white liner on my waterline (bottom of your eye) since my eyes seem a bit smaller to really extenuate them and make them seem bigger in appearance. I tried that today but turned out the brand was pretty shitty so it didn't turn well. oh well, i'll try again because I couldn't resist the price of $2.64 for an eye shadow mini palette, 3 eyeliners (two of the same that I ordered by mistake but love anyway), and a lipstick. In the photo from 7/5/17 I tried the winged liner look, don't think I did too well but that's what they say, "Practice makes perfect!"
